Answer

Hello Neeraj,

Trust this finds you fine. Coming to the answers,

Q1: What inspired me on the path of Brahmacharya?
A: When we make the objects of senses as a source of our happiness and well being we find that the path of sense pleasures and the so called 'objects' of happiness and excitement always fall short of the mark and leave us wanting for more. They fail to give the desired amount of satisfaction and often leave us high and dry in pain. Like a fire that is never satisfied with any amount of wood supplied, man's desires and worldly aspirations are never sated no matter how hard he feeds them. This realization made me look towards spirituality as a solution and Brahmacharya being one of the first foundations for the growth of real spirituality came into the picture.

The true reason behind any person trying for Brahmacharya seriously would be the arrival of one's individual soul to a state where it has begun to realize the falsity and impermanent nature of the world around. This prompts the person to look for a better, permanent and more sensible alternative to the apparent, temporary and unreliable sense pleasures which eventually desert man in the realm of pain. Man starts his serious quest to find that one permanent state which will offer him freedom from the highs and lows of worldly life and establish him in a state of permanent and infinite bliss. This state he can achieve by no other means but by realizing his own self as an extension of the Almighty and finally merging into the Lord. Brahmacharya is of paramount importance for anyone wishing to reach this state.

Q2: What is my occupation?
A: I'm a self employed professional.

Q3: Have I taken a vow of celibacy?
A: At the start of celibacy before the start of unbroken Brahmacharya I did take vows of certain time frames. But as time progressed I realized that Brahmacharya is a divine and beautiful mode of life that is to be practiced for ever and not something to be limited to months in the calender. By the kind grace of the Almighty Lord the state of Brahmacharya has been steady.

God bless and have a nice day :-)
