How does one derive tremendous power from Brahmacharya?
Question
Dear Sir,
How does one derive tremendous power from Brahmacharya?
In the Mahabharata, though Bhishma and the Pandavas had practiced Brahmacharya, for some reason only Bhishma was able to truly harness its power and thus became virtually invincible. What was that specific reason?
To observe this vow, one must take Sattvic Food in moderation, which does not contribute to physical strength. So how does one go about deriving tremendous physical and spiritual power from Brahmacharya?
Answer
1. Bhisma was an 'Akhanda Naistika Brahmachari' (One who has never lost Veerya and has complete mastery over its non-production). He was hence at a much superior level.
2. The strength referred to is Spiritual strength of the highest order, which supersedes mental and physical strengths, which have limitation. Sathwic food helps in attaining Brahmacharya, which in turn leads to such strength.
