Question

Hi,

1- Do all religious traditions had enligthened beings?

2-WHy many religious traditions cant accept that other religions may be valid? CHristian tend to see only Jesus as the only holy being that existed, and some modern people in the Hare Krishna movement say only Krishna is holy, etc.

Answer

1. Yes

2. Those who have realized the truth accept all religions. There is no distinction in the truth, for it is one without a second.

A religion is only a path to reach the self and nothing else. Just as there are many roads from different directions to reach a city, there are different roads to reach the self.

The great Lord who is one and only one, call HIM by what name you may, makes different Jiva-s (individuals) take up different paths, based on their individual nature and temperament. However, all these paths reach the self alone which is no different from the Lord.

When the Yogi attains to complete union with the Lord in 'Nirvikalpa Samadhi' (non-dual super-consciousness), he perceives the truth, also called the Lord, also called the self as one and only one. There, there is no religion, no mind, no body and no world. All these fuse into their source, for they were all images on the screen of pure consciousness (Lord). HE is the great, invisible mirror on whom are reflected these images.

ॐ तत् सत्
(That Supreme being is the absolute truth)
