Overeating/Prana Mudra

Dhananjay • 7/8/2012
Question

Hello Dhananjay,hope you are well
1.I am in 21th month of absolute celibacy & partial brahmacharya.  sometimes I follow moderation in diet & sometimes overeat.what should I do to overcome overeating ?
2.I think Pran Mudra which can be used in any situation induces vajroly kerya (esp when it's done with both hands).although it can never be replaced with your instructions you have mentioned in your answers but it can save practitioners from fail in crisis if it's applied immediately. do you conform it ? do you know any other easy method for such situations ?

Answer

1. Opt for many small meals instead of single large meals. Spread the quantity over a period of time. This will help overcome the issue. After the Yogi becomes an Urdhvareta, he will require lesser food and the craving will taper away.

2. Prana Mudra can be a precursor to the Bandha-s. However, it cannot substitute the Bandha-s since it is only a preliminary technique. The Tribandha-s are unparalleled in their ability to drive Prana into the Sushumna channel and help rise Kundalini for Samadhi meditation
