Brahmacharya and Materialistic success

I also have a query
Actually I want to start form beginning.I am the person who is feeling lustful thoughts right from when I remember my early childhood.
I started doing masturbation at a very early age.My childhood was very tough.As I remember,My world was full of pain and sorrow.I was having troubles from everywhere.In studies in I was considered a problem.I was getting insults from everywhere at that time.My career was a Horse with broken legs.This goes on until I reached
the age of 23 where I met a person from whom I got some knowledge about self control.After that I reduced my masturbation habit from twice in a day to twice in 3-4 months.There I felt my world upgraded from Mr nothing to Mr Someone.I saw respect for me in the eyes of people.Now I have reached 31.So this is going on in my life from that time, whenever I go towards sensuality I feel my outer world conditions,relationships suffer,my career starts falling down and when I come back to Purity slowly everything in life starts upgrading.Still I will say I try my best but I am unable to cross 4-5 months.

So my question to you is
1)Is Lustful thoughts,masturbation ,pornography,sexual sin is the real cause of all the troubles,pains,sorrows,Failures in career and accomplishments in one's life and worldly conditions in this world?

2)If a person like me still took a oath a vow for brahmacharya vrata for 12 years Is it still possible to get self realization.
And if not realization should I expect that my worldly conditions and my career will reach its peak.Can I expect to achieve great materialistic life?

Please help me to clear my vision by putting some light on it.
