Namaste Prabhu!
In your previous answers,you have recommended seven to eight hours of sleep, what if one gets only five hours of sleep?
Does it have any negative effects on Brahmacharya,Intelligence and Memory?

Answer

Seven hours of sleep is the normal requirement for a layman. As one progresses in a life of Yoga, the need for sleep reduces. Sleep also depends on the nature of work done through the day. Those who indulge in continuous & strenuous work physically or mentally need more sleep as compared to those who perform moderate work.

If one feels fresh and healthy through five hours of sleep, it is not an issue.
