Leaving to a monastery

Dhananjay • 12/24/2016
Question

Dear Sir,
If one is opting for Brahmacharya, he may as well go to a monastery or ashram to pursue his sadhana more efficiently and without any unnecessary hassles. Once parental care is taken care of, is there any reason for him to stay in the civil society? Please cover this as elaborately as possible.

Answer

Whether one goes to a monastery or doesn't, his thoughts and karma go with him. Hence it is not that doing so will make it easier. If doing Sadhana in a monastery is destined, it happens. Striving to realize the Atman is what is important. The wise aspirant accepts the place willed by the Lord and works diligently.
