Praying for others

Question
Dear Dhananjay,
What is the logic behind one praying for the welfare of others (parents, siblings, wife, children, friends, etc)? Does it have any value in terms of changing others life? How does it effect us eventually?

Answer
It is enough if one develops a well wishing and harmless attitude towards all, be they relatives or unrelated. Prayer, in particular, is not necessary, to the one who see's all with a divine perspective. The Lord takes care of all, in the way required.
