Meditation and siddhis

Question

Hello, How can we explain siddhis? When a man merge his mind in God as in samyama (with concentration), at that time the mind absorb power from God to manifest siddhis?

For example the siddhis anima or levitation comes because during the moments when the mind is absorbed in God, the body itself receive the spiritual power from God? ANd do this siddhi happen only in Yoga?

Answer

1. Merging the mind into the Lord leads to self-realization and not Siddhi-s which are in the realm of Maya and therefore unreal. Those Siddhis- which are in destiny, can however still manifest.

Siddhi-s are the product of merging the mind into the cause responsible for their manifestation.

2. Levitation is achieved by the practice of Samyama on the 'Vayu tattva' and related 'Tanmatra', whereupon, the principle of lightness as that of air is merged into and the body rises up in space.

3. Siddhi-s can be a by-product in Yoga. They are attainable through other means as well.
