Vedic concept of God
Dhananjay • 5/10/2012
Question
Namaskar sir, i'm trying to observe brahmacharya and my humble request is that please explain the vedic concept of GOD. Thanks from Palash
Answer
In the Vedas, God is worshipped through various facets, each representing a particular feature and function and called by a different name. The Vedas contain the means to attain Earthly pleasure and success. The end of the Vedas or Vedanta (Upanishads) contain the means for liberation. Here the Lord is termed by the name Parabrahman (absolute Supreme) and Ishwara (not the trinity Siva).
While the Lord has many names, HE is one and only one. Nothing more needs to be known by the Brahmachari
ॐ तत् सत्
(That Supreme being is the absolute truth)
