Types of Pranayama
Dhananjay • 10/18/2014
Question
There are said to be two types of pranayama namely hatha and raja yoga varieties. Can you please explain in detail as to what these differences are, and which pranayama is which exactly?
Answer
There is only one Pranayama. It is achieved when there is neither inhalation nor exhalation of breath, but natural suspension. All others are only the means to reach it. That which does not eventually help one reach the above state is not Pranayama.
