Question

Do the awakening of kundalini occur outside of the Tantric school of yoga? The doctrine of kundalini awakening is specific of Tantra, which means outside tantric schools, there is no kundalini awakening. In tantra they say, if kundalini dont awake conciously there can be no enlightnment. Is the Tantra school special or superior than other yoga schools or even other religions who dont have kundalini?

Answer

1. Kundalini awakening occurs to all who proceed on the path of realizing the self with sincerity.

2. Just as there are many roads to a destination, there are many paths to enlightenment. Tantra is one such path. Every path is unique in its own way and applies to a specific temperament. Therefore tantra is neither superior nor inferior.

3. Every religion recognizes Kundalini, though they do not call it by the same name.
