Human beings

Question

I am usually very withdrawn and when I am not at work- I just keep to myself. People always tell me that it is unhealthy and that humans are "social creatures" What do you think?
It probably shouldn't concern me as it is pointless but I just wanted to know your thoughts
Thank you

Answer

The mind which is held in the Atman (self) is the embodiment of bliss. It is content in the self by the self. A mind which is away from the Atman feels incomplete, which it tries to overcome through association with the 'Anatma' (non-self) which includes the senses, people and the world.

Desire or hatred for others comes in the realm of falsity. Just as a mirage of water in the desert cannot quench one's thirst, such association cannot give happiness. A seeker of happiness gets it in the Atman alone.
